I said it's as close to an endorsement as a GOP senator can make unless/until he leaves his party. McCain would like to find a way to campaign for Kerry. He really would. Because he really-really likes, trusts and respects him. But it wasn't always that way. They have become close trusting friends despite their party differences. Partly because of the trip they made back to McCain's Hanoi cell together and also because of the veterans rights and CAFE standard bills they worked on together. Now if only our whole government could work this way, huh? That's why I am against extremists like Delay. They are dividers not uniters. They make things next to impossible in DC. And for only selfish reasons.
