Good article. But then what else from The Economist?

I'm going to go through it again and will reply again. The fact that the CPI figures are so much higher than PPI is troubling.

OTOH, if the FRB significantly increases the amount of currency in circulation, it should be able to stop price deflation.

Not that anyone will really be better off. Just that prices would rise. At the end of it, you can easily end up with bigger numbers on price tags and the same unemployment and overcapacity.
