It amazes me how long it takes to make a vaccine. I suppose I should go into the business if it's so easy.

It's not as though vaccinations are a new technology. Just get the bugs, cripple one of them, then multiply it a billion times and turn it loose into the T-cell environment to be tortured to death and recognized in future by human antibodies. See, it's easy!

Meanwhile, since biotech geeks don't know how to do a minor bit of genetic warfare on some stupid bug, the rest of us will wear N95 masks, bow instead of kissing and keep well clear of anybody with the sniffles. We'll beat sars if big pharma is clueless.
