Yes. Hitler and Stalin agreed to split Poland. They had a secret agreement and both countries attacked at the same time. We were not allies with Russia until after Hitler betrayed the agreement and attacked Russia. The allies decided to help Russia to make a two front war against Germany. I have always wondered why American schools just seem to forget that. But American schools forget a lot. And why England and France did not declare war on Russia also. They should have let Germany finish Russia off.
