I don't think anyone will have a chance of success unless the union is out of the picture. And the odds of that are slim and none as long as the suburban schools keep their parents happy. The parents don't realize that the superior kids almost educate themselves, and the average to below are getting both grade and test inflation.

The Urban Teachers Union stranglehold is so strong I don't see any way, at the moment, that it can be broken.
