Bush's deficits 35x Davis's and Calif's 1/7th of the nation. Bush is living off borrowed money now. So is Davis. But Bush is cutting taxes. So the deficits wil get even worse at the federal level. Which means less money to give to states. Which makes state deficits worse. Get the picture? Voodoo Economics does not trickle down to the states but puts the burden ON them, esopecially when your energyc ronies rip off a state for 20 billion and your FERC keeps the state from getting any reimbursements or justice.

they need to overturn proposition 13. It destroyed the state and screwed the young, and young businesses. It created a whole generation of freeloaders who don't give a sh!t. Davis may have overspent by taking CA schools from 47th in funding levels to 29th in the country (remember CA is the most expensive state), but the real problem is revenues and who pays them. I think they should reassess everybody's house and drop the current tax rates by half. New buyers would pay half their current abusive property tax rates and the freeloaders would pay 10x what they currently pay. Old businesses would have a level playing field with the new companies. This inequity is a huge problem if you ask me.
