It seems we are rather caught up in a time warp here, with endless dissertation on that moment in time when GWB explained why we were going to war. It seems of no importance the many words he said while leading up the that time, nor all that has been said therafter.
Now the world has moved on, N Korea has said they will develop nukes- hardly worth a second thought, compared to deciding whether GWB worded a statement in an ill manner.
We may decide to invade Liberia, with full approval and at the request of other countries. Hardly worth discussing , compared with the importance of what Bush said many months ago.
No need to discuss the many causualties, the proper wording of the justification, until we figure out who in this Administration may have been lying. which is not a proven fact and will not be clear until the WMD seach ends.
. Nobody concentrates on lies told by Saddam, by Arafat, by Sharon, by Chirac, or by Thread members. The only possible liars of importance are GWB and Tony Blair. The world will have to stand still until that decision is made.

Is there a new mission? Has this mission creeped?

I don't think so. I'll re-post my previous message..

OK, Alistair Cook is generally pro American, and has been broadcasting to the more discerning radio 4 listener in the UK for some time (read: usually intelligent listener and independently minded, typically no easy push for a simple propaganda line). This is his main point..

Secretary Powell now says that to believe that there are not any more hidden or undeclared weapons is preposterous

So, I guess he stands by that statement. No creeping. YES or NO answer to be supplied.

/edit. opps entirely forgot. Happy July 4th! It's a big day here too ... Daughters Birthday. When she was just a toddler, we used to tell her the whole of America celibrated her Birthday -g-

A change in leadership will make a big difference in the mess in Iraq. Unfortunately WE have to wait until 2004 to get it.

Yes. Just as I thought. You have no alternative ideas. Just "Throw the rascals out!" Same program the Dem candidates have. You are all just setting in the back seat and complaining.
