I saw some HDTVs at costco... not sure what the delay is in getting those... but I was thinking of was a little different, these are the TVs with the tivo or DVR boxes attached. Right now the technology is kindof simple, in my case I have a std PC and then a box hookup to my cable company with PPV and a tv guide, clock and reminders. I don't know how many chips are in that motorola cable PPV box, it isn't as functional as a tivo, also the DVD for recording isn't included. But the all-inclusive group of tv, DVR, tivo technology + broadband for the PPV seems like a fairly complex mechanism, almost PC-level. I think that is the next killer app, tivo+PPV+broadband. Japan has video on demand over internet already.
