depends on the BP. The BPNDX generally leads or is coincident with tops and bottoms, while the BPNYA and BPCOMPQ generally lag. If you use DWA's BPs, the BPHILO and BP10MA (don't remember the exact symbol) or the BPOTC, they will tend to lead as well. And DWA has added some refinements to their BPs that are apparently a little more forward looking or at least coincident with turns. What is important is that when you have every single BP in the 70s, 80s and 90s, it is telling you that things are getting overbought. You don't have to wait for the BPs to turn to get cautious.
