Lawyers cost too much, so do Doctors and plumbers and a lot of people. But the point is, if you get really-really damaged by a big corporation, and if you're not wealthy, you have no recourse unless you take on a litigator. And if you cant afford to pay hourly, you have to make a deal. That makes you a partner with him, he's taking a risk and he's got a lot of expenses. Some litigators risk $500,000 or more trying to go after a claim. If they lose, they lose it all.
