We sure did, thank you, and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. But all the pops and bangs and flashes went on very late into the night. After hearing all the ads and news clips regarding safe and legal fireworks I was really surprised to see tons of stuff that must have been illegal going off all around our house. There were at least 4 houses within 500 feet of ours that combined to put on the best fireworks display that I've seen in years, the kind that I thought only municipalities could arrange.

Puddlewife suggested that we write a letter complaining about the dangerous use of illegal fireworks in our area. I scowled at her and told her that I would have nothing to do with any such complaint, and if she really felt that way she could go inside and I'd stay outside and enjoy the fireworks. She stayed. :-)
