Not knowing exactly what the hotel's existing interfacing and traffic profile requirements are, I'd be reluctant to give a carte blanche answer to your question. But in principle I'd say that there should be no reason for them to dismiss EoV in favor of ADSL simply due to the makeup of the RBOC's network. We have to keep in mind that when we're talking about an MTU/MDU/MHU, the makeup of the line will ordinarily be passive, as in a dry copper pair or an unlit fiber strand that is leased to the CLEC by a dark fiber carrier. Alternatively, if a T3 is leased from the telco to the target building, then the EoV unit should be designed with the proper interface for a DSX-3 handoff.

But beyond the standard channel interface parameters, the LEC's infrastructure should not impose anything extraordinary that would introduce an impediment to transmission. Again, this presupposes that the CPE/HDT units supplied by the vendor are designed to meet standard interfacing requirements and specifications (e.g., T1, T3, OC-3, etc.).

Having stated the above, I should point out that the economics of supporting an MTU location are such that the service provider might take the additional step of introducing a more robust link than they would to individual homes due to the higher end point density associated with hotels, say, and enjoy the greater economies of scale. The CLEC in this case might elect to bring dark fiber to the building, or lease a strand of fiber from the local dark fiber carrier, or they might introduce a microwave link to the building, or even an LOS-FSO link that is backed up by a pair of microwave radio elements.
