Really? Please list 10K sq. miles of U.S. desert, where the eco-system is not fragile. List tell me which desert area, wouldn't be damaged by the installation of thousands of square miles of solar farms and windmills? Can you tell me what the impact of the desert ecosystem will be, having thousands of square miles of dark solar panels - absorbing the heat energy of sun? Can you tell me what the impact of huge windmill farms, will have on endangered raptors? Some documentation, with links may be nice.

By the way, how do you propose to keep large scale Hydrogen use from damaging the ozone layer?

re:"There are many areas of US desert without any fragile eco-system. As the Bushies know because that's where they want to put their nuclear waste-dumps. Also a lot of old bombing ranges. Windmills and solar panels cause a lot less damage than bombs and nuclear waste."
