Yes. “They” have found a way for women to do quite a lot. The author maintains the way they’ve found is a way that is false, unreasonable and dangerous. I think she is quite correct.

The unfortunate (but fair) fact is that women today can enter into a number of professions that are dangerous. But, it is (fortunately) their own choice.

A problem with their choice arises when it impacts the lives of others. In a military situation she may be sent to rescue me and because of her physical limitations may very likely not be unable to do the job as well as a guy. Personally, I would like the choice to reject her so that I might choose a guy instead. Unfortunately, I might not get that choice. And we may both end up like the poor female pilot whose superiors essentially lied about her flight readiness.
