Of course Teddy Roosevelt waged war against Spain based on a lie and pulled off a PR stunt on San Juan Hill in Cuba, pretending he led the charge. He never did. He stayed at the rear. Frederic Remington helped him concoct that phony image. Last month, an expert pilot landed Bush on an air-craft carrier and let Bush pretend he'd had anything to do with the flying.
