Msg from Riechers: "... Godot's behavior has been consistent
for years on SI so what changed besides the pressures you face
during this time of transition?"
.
Riecher Riecher Riecher,
.
Its clear that you are not a person of science in disposition
based on your inability to grasp Time, Form and Function.
.
"Godot's behavior has been consistent for years on SI"
(or)
What he did prior to new ownership,
and now what he does on other web sites
is Borg'able Irrelevant to the current "Assimilation."
.
"... so what changed [during] this time of transition?"
(or)
Actually, what has not changed is a few folks like yourself
unable & unwilling & unwanting any change of Silicon Investor
to go back when folks of the Clown Free Zone attitude would have
been boo'ed off Si by folks in a business trading mode to make money
and not allow a bunch of high IQ clowns with low self esteem
to stink up the place with their trash talk.
(but)
Since you are unwilling to discuse this as the new reality,
i will simply state that while Graystone is correct in that
i have not read any of God<something>'s posts, i do know
that the success of Silicon Investor's current Business Plan,
as in Business Model to attract market trading related ads
and ads geared to folks in the market (a.k.a.) folks with cash,
has as a negative force these trash talking posts that stand out
much more than the trading posts. Sure, what if the market crashes,
then thats all Si can be, a trash talking of the kitchen sink and
everything else including talking about trash talking. Well, if so
then only one or at most two investment web sites will survive.
Seems Raging Bull has the volumn of eye balls, but it crap talk
there based on what i hear, and i'am guessing the ad revenue
they get is of low quality and not enough to keep the lights on,
and surely not enough to hire programmers and tech support.

Godot's behavior has been consistent for years on SI so what changed besides the pressures you face during this time of transition?

Management changed. And with it, administrative philosophy. Part of bringing SI back to its former glory will be tolerating less of the "playground" conduct, especially in the more highly-traffic'd threads like the strictly stock threads and this one.

Performance level (from an IT perspective) is not the only thing I think is in need of "repair" on the site. Actually, in that area, the site performs extremely well. It just needs to use less bandwidth and it's sorely lacking in features.

However, note that Godot and I reached an email agreement and he's back. Is it JXM that's usually the bookie on the termination-date pools?
