Glenn,

A number of prominent Democrats, including the author Richard Reeves, have openly called for Terry McAuliffe's resignation. I agree. McAuliffe is tainted with the putrescence of corporate sleaze and corruption. His association with Global Crossing is a stinker. I sure hope someone will be able to mount an effective campaign to take the party back from the scoundrels of the DLC. :)

New RNC Chief was Enron's #1 lobbyist. Ed Gillespie. As slippery and dishonest a political operative as there has ever been in Washington DC. And they make him head of their party. His real job, to run a massive disinformation campaign in 2004. If he can get Kay Lay off the hook and blame the energy crisis on the victim Grey Davis, maybe he can also save Bush, they imagine.
