As in Afghanistan, before invading, we should have had a post-war plan that made sense, not just a lot of wishful thnking about the crowds cheering us. The Bushies also should have been honest with us. I remember Rumsfield denying we'd need as many as 100,000 troops in Iraq ofr several years. Now the real figure is more like 200,000 troops for 5-10 years. Anything to get their invasion, that's the way they played it. Like a big false advertising campaign. But now we see the reality. Ugh. Nobody I've heard knows what the hell to do with Iraq now except escalate.

So what do you thinK?

When we catch Saddam, should we put him back in power?

Who cares what happens to Saddam? Not me! I just don't want our troops to lay down their lives to bring "liberation" to the Iraqis. And to top that, the Iraqis don't seem to agree that we are liberating them either.

What a mess.
