Yes..... I've seen this too. Believe I can explain why things aren't the way they use to be. Before the merger I used Datek for several account and had my parents at Brown. All Datek orders would appear almost immediately in the Island window book. Several time I had traded in the Datek accounts and moved on to the Brown account. Several minutes would pass before the trade would show up in the Island window. I figured out that the trade was offered to a third party before it was advertised. At this time Brown is down to about a minute before the trade appears. Ammertrade I believe is doing the same. I remember when monthly I would receive a 'bonus' from Datek on the kickback they receive and would pass it back to the owner of the trade. I have also noticed that after the first trade of the day, the order seems to be processed almost immediately and appears on the Island book almost immediately. I have also notice that the updated windows lately aren't that updated...... look at the update note and notice hat things aren't getting updated in real time... I too miss the old and if anybody has info on where one can go to reestablish the old speed, pleade advise. Morse
