AMAT is presently leading the charge percentage wise in the SOX today - up 9.25 percent for top position in the 18 stock index. ALTR is also flirting with the 9 percent number.

Don, Thanks for your kind words.

My months ago expectation that NASDAQ would reach 1700 was really just based on the chart - a little lower than the previous peak at 1750 that was seen in June 2002.

However, I think that resistance level to have been weakened significantly in the past 4 weeks by the several sell-offs around 1680. So now 1700 is not going to be a technical resistance point anymore. Everyone and his cousin has had enough chances to experience sellers remorse at this level. So on to nasdaq 2000 we go. Though whether we reach that this quarter or later of course depends on the earnings.

The real difficult call for me personally is that my funds are still 100% invested, as they have been for a couple years now. And I have the happy problem of when to start taking profits. Although I might change my mind any day, I'm still holding full positions and expect at least 10% higher from our favorite tech stocks - INTC, ALTR, XLNX, etc.... I also expect the early profit reports to be generally better than expected.

Good luck to you. And I really appreciate all the information you post on these threads.
