I see no connection between the way war was conducted and what is happening now. If anything it makes matter better and safer for America.

The mafia at the top was never on the front lines. Killing more conscripts would have killed more conscripts and nothing more. Men who free add to the numbers of those who want freedom would have been destroyed. That is all.

The mafia who were run by hussien are experts at survival and use the methods of mafia to attempt to reestablish fear.

They are there and would be there independent of any different actions. The will be killed off over time as they don't have popular support.

Sadly Americans will killed in this war on scum.

The next war?! Gee, I can't wait for that ;-) As it is, this one'll cost us $60B a year and who knows how many soldiers' lives. But since money is available in plenty (w/ Greenspan running the printing presses) and (poor) people's lives are cheap, we can "afford" another war...
