Ed Gillespie was in charge of the Enron cover-up during and after the energy crisis. He was given 7 million bucks (paid 10% of it personally) and told to wage a TV disinformation campaign to try and blame the energy crimes on the victim, Grey Davis. Apparently it succeeded. And it is really sick and slimey. I agree. Hopefully Davis will fight back. But by now the GOP must have poured twice the 7 million into the effort to tar his reputation. Expect some of the same during the 2004 race with the GOP using their 200 million for wave upon wave of dishonest attack ads.
