Close races are the rule. Blow outs are the rare exception.

No one can call the election in 2004. I like to say Kerry will win. Bushies likes to say Bush is invulnerable but anything could happen. One thing I'm 90% sure abouth is that it will be Bush vs. Kerry. Beyond that anything can happen. Cheney could be gone, for instance. Another war could be going on. But I feel that id moderates and liberals join together, get angry and really united this time, Bush is gone. If Kerry were to get roughly the same amount of votes Gore got, he can win. It's where you get the votes not just how many you get. It's also possible there could be another major voter fraud scandal in 2004. The dems know the GOP are going to try it and they'll be ready. If the GOP are caught ---

Dear Bald Eagle: I think you are right, my concern is should "how we are involved worldwide" be a political issue? Once we leave American shores issues become so complicated that I doubt any of us really is knowledgeable enough to understand what should be and what shouldnt be done. Myself, I think we should elect leaders we can trust and rely on them, with their often classified sources, to make the decisions best suited for Americans. The economy is more clear cut. I think for most people it boils down to am I better off or at least as well off as before or am I not. I believe the vast majority of people dont really think past the next paycheck. If the economy hasnt substantially picked up by election 2004 it likely will be a very close race, if it has improved I cant imagin Bush losing as from what I see the vast majority of Americans DO TRUST Bush, although you would never know that reading some of the posts on this thread. jdn
