Believing anything over an electronic media without a ton of skepticism is the sign of stupidity. And, pray tell, just what are you relying upon? You obviously don't have any personal experiences related to these issues which you didn't glean from some other source. All sources are suspect, even those with first hand experience. It is the analyst's job to read all credible viewpoints/accounts and discern what really happened. I have known analysts. I have been an analyst. I was trained by analysts. You sir, are no analyst.
