true there are plenty of deals made with of exchange options - collars being the simplest etc.

This is because the data necessary to correctly evaluate max pain is always far from complete. We know only what they decide we will know. -ng-

Actually that is a reasonable explanation and I am aware of it. It was working too well for too long. We only see the numbers, not who is long or short and that can indeed be a big problem.
