Nonsense imo. I am willing to ignore the entire business (puts from this trader). Barring that, so we have an institution that thinks the spread will pay. Fine. I see no reason to think they will be right just because we are dealing with a large trader. Indeed, the most profitable outcome for that trade "would be pressure on the QQQ into Sept O/E towards levels of a 10% decline", but the market doesn't give a damn what will be most profitable for that trade.
