Mandela hinted somewhere that he might not meet with Bush- and Bush probably didn't want to get the cold shoulder from someone as respected as Mandela. Mandela, as I am sure you remember, is quite angry about Iraq- and recently said a lot about that, in Britain ? I seem to recall.

Heh... one can probably thank that anti-Semite/anti-American festival that took place in Durban a couple years ago for a certain lack of interest in meeting with Mandela. What a joke that was.
