Here is a snippet from tonight's letter from Lance Lewis: "Incidentally, I’ve received quite a bit of hate mail lately in my email box. I used to get hate mail all the time when I used to write for Prudent Bear and the column was free, although it has been pretty rare for me to get any ever since I went to a subscription base. (Don’t ask me why someone feels the need to do this? Some people just seem to have a lot of free time apparently?) Typically, the barrage of hate mail would always be the most intense near peaks in stocks, as bulls (who knew I was bearish) felt confident enough to drop by and send me a zinger and insult my mother or some such juvenile nonsense. Interestingly enough, I’ve actually received a good deal of hate mail over the last few days from people that don’t even subscribe to the column, yet have been kind enough to drop by and leave me a nasty note (typically with a lot of profanity) about how the new bull market is going to crush me or something of that sort. I’ve even had a couple subscribers question my sanity for not participating in this rally. This has only happened a couple of other times over the last year and a half, and it has always occurred within days of a major peak in stocks. I’m not sure if it’s going to work this time or not (I may need several weeks of it in order for it to match up the extremes in price that we have seen during this rally), but I’ve often found that anecdotal sentiment indicators like that are often the best ones out there. So, for what it’s worth, we have another extreme to add the long list of other sentiment indicators that are giving sell signals. I will try and keep subscribers updated if the intensity increases."dailymarketsummary.com
