I know a LOT about churches. Tons. Not something to question me on. My family includes some major church leaders. And I can tell you, 90% of the church leaders I have met in my life are liberals. No question about it. Since I am a Methodist, same as Bush and Hillary, I met all the top Methodists, and you don't see a right-winger anywhere. In fact the Methodist Church paid for TV ads opposing the war.

The rightwingers are usually VBaptists and Mormons. I find those two particular sects rather intolerant and rather ignorant, made up mostly of people who have never been outside their neighborhoods except to go to Disneyland. They really dont understand the world, which is why they can be cowed into seeing things in black and white, good or evil, against us or with us, when in fact the world is anything but this. Take France. They are actually a strong ally of ours. But they oppose Bush's policies. Take Saudi Arabia. Bush loves them but they may be the most dangerous country one earth to our safety. Yet France is now "evil" and Saudis are our "friends". Boggles the mind huh? And didn't we arm Saddam and Osama both originally? Of course. We even pulled the rug out from under the Shah in Iran. Our history is filed with many ironies. And the reality is there is no black and white.
