"Rockefeller is merely reflecting his reaction to events, not any special knowledge."

John D Rockefeller is the Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. His insights may be based on something!

Hi Neocon; Re: "There is a big difference, I am sure lost on you, between relying on intelligence estimates, even when they are subject to some dispute, and taking partisan comments as evidence. Rockefeller is merely reflecting his reaction to events, not any special knowledge."

Your reasoning is correct, but what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. The whole theory of Iraq's huge WMD program was based on the very partisan comments of a few Iraqi defectors. Rather than a lack of special knowledge, what they provided were lies intended to arrange for the US to solve their domestic (i.e. Iraqi) problems for them.
