ADG-Should also benefit- General Dynamic's defense sales rose in the second quarter compared with last year. The company's information systems and technology unit sales rose to $1.15 billion from $946 million a year ago. And the combat systems unit sales hit $ 1.02 billion, up form $687 million last year. The second quarter is expected to be a good one for defense sales across the board as the quarter of the Iraq war. And analysts say U.S. defense spending should continue to rise for the next few years. Already, Congress is in the process of approving a 1.3% rise in defense spending for next year.
