And I bet Hoser knows a thing or two about it.
I'm trying to remember if she ever took up Yoga or was it
just Pilates?

nope - i know nothing.

meditating drives me crazy because
i can't turn my mind off. i keep
thinking that i'm not 'spposed to
be thinking.

no, for me to relieve stress, i have
to do something physical - something
i can totally immerse myself in.

mowing the lawn with the push mower
works, so does running. cleaning is
a goodie too ... i can really lose myself
in that one.

i have to lose the stress, or anger
before i can enjoy solitude.

i haven't taken up yoga - only pilates
and while we start our sessions with some
deep breathing in order to prepare ourselves
for the workout, there is no meditation
involved.

good luck in your search clappy.

I'd still like to know your view of it. Do you ever
meditate. I suppose you do some variation of it while
sailing or directing or whatever. But do you ever just sit
and sort of formally meditate?

i smoke tobacco, i drink beer, i eat green chile
cheeseburgers and pizza. i listen to music, make love
and i go sailing... i used to play golf every week.
i was raised a christian scientist. i graduated from
it and went to college in 1967 where i took philosophy,
peyote, lsd and eastern religion. i spent a lot of
time on the navajo reservation and used to fly through
the clear blue sky, white puffy clouds and the red rock
formations of monument valley and canyon de chelly like
a thunderbird every day. why would i want to meditate?

I'll meditate when I'm dead.
