AE,

Very interesting post.

I will say I found this line to be of particular interest:
"The BCA editors have never been in the gloom-and-doom camp. While they have correctly predicted several recessions, they have more often been more positive about the economy than just about anyone I have read over the years."

It appears as if the general stock market is more than willing to embrace the most optimist of scenarios and pay a premium for it. I was very surprised to see the June 30 Barron's has a chart which shows S&P Operating Earnings projections, showing a 9% increase this year and 10% next year, at which point, according to the chart, the Earnings would be greater than that at year end '99!

And as far as Nasdaq and QQQ is concerned, if anyone has any idea (from a fundamental perspective) what are driving these price gains and valuations I would love to hear it.

I see this general stock market situation to be very integral as to how financial markets will unfold over the next few months and very impactful on our PMs and shares.
