re : Quantel (traded in Paris, France, Berlin and US Pinks) - €6,20
another portfolio addition

This is IMHO a VERY INTERESTING laser company - maybe the first European firm I do consider attractive in the current biz cycle, very active in MEDICAL lasers (like COHR) and INDUSTRIAL lasers (like RSTI)

Quantel of France : quantel.fr

They did rather well since tech heyday of Winter 2000. Almost unchanged. If you look at their earnings tabulation fr.biz.yahoo.com you will notice a nice TURNAROUND achieved. PE of 10, PSR of 0,3 - almost Japanese valuations. They grew their revenues to €35m - and this during the INDUSTRY SLUMP.

They are a bellwether, growing their US subsidiary (Big Sky Lasers) and got numerous partnerships with SECTOR LEADERS including Coherent. IT looks like a takveover target to me..

It's being traded in Paris and Berlin - ticker is either QUTL.LN or 3824.PA - around €6 right now. In the US it's being traded as a PinkSheet Stock, ticker QUTEF - finance.yahoo.com

IMHO this could be in for a 3 bagger until year-end..

all the best
