According to the polls I've seen, about 25% to 30% of the country feels as you do. They will vote Democratic even if the Democrats nominate a real donkey.

Given the percentage that voted for Nader in the last election, these numbers are more than plausible. And those irresponsible voters are indirectly responsible for Bush being in the White House now.

The way one of those "voters" put it to me was he'd rather see the US suffer a true disaster with someone like Bush as president than "prolonging the problem" with another mainstream Democratic administration. I'll leave aside if that's what he was thinking, why not vote for Bush directly then ? Duh !

Borders on hoping for anarchy imho, but that's what some people are thinking.

And what have you seen from W, Nadine? That he's willing to cede power to Rummy and the PNAC people? What a comfort that is. Maybe to Israel, but the rest of the world's got to wonder.
