I don't get why you don't get that it's the SC's job to tell the legislature when they're out of line constitutionally. Reasonable people can disagree over when and if the legislature is out of line and what is constitutional and what isn't, but I don't see how you can argue the role of the SC to point out the legislature's error. If the legislature disagrees, they can always pass a constitutional amendment to clarify the constitution in their favor. It's not like the SC has the absolute last word.
