From the article I posted:

The Bush administration confirmed on Monday that Joseph Wilson, a former ambassador, investigated the attempted purchase of uranium in Niger for the Central Intelligence Agency. Nearly a year before Mr Bush's State of the Union address, he delivered his findings to the administration that there was no truth to the allegations.

They knew those allegations were false but still presented them as truths. Hence, they were lying.

<<...received information from the Massoud>>

Actually it was reported that the false document was created by a Nigerian official who sold it for big bucks to the Italians, The Italians then passed it onto the British and the US which sent them scrambling and ultimately resulted in the ambassador backtracking the document back to it's source.

Now in fairness to the Bush Admin, that would place the timeframe for the original document back near 9-11 (which is probably why the official got big bucks w/out proper scrutiny). So I can understand why they would have a burning passion to disembowel Saddam.

BUT - the fact remains that said document was long discredited and yet that info APPEARS to have not made it up the chain of command. And there is only one plausible explanation for that - the administration has made it quite clear from day one that messages counter to the stated policy will not be tolerated. "There will be only one truth and it is my truth!"
...Which is why global warning was expunged form the interior departments latest report (among other things).

And I'm sorry but the only difference between "plausible deniability" and an outright lie is half a squiggle on the lie detector.

>>The one scenario that would fit is that Bush, Wolfkowitz et all received information from the Massoud. The ONLY country that wanted Iraq gone was Israel. <<

Very interesting, indeed. Do you have any facts leading you to your conclusion? I would be interested if you could refute the facts of Runes AND the obvious conclusion that Bush lied. Remember, I think Saddam is a weapon of mass destruction and that the UN (france)failed its obligation to remove and punish him.

In addition, many countries in the Arab world wanted Saddam removed for obvious reasons. There were few protests from Arab leaders about his removal. Clearly Kurds and Shiites wanted Saddam removed for his years of torture and murder.
