Well Bengali, if it's stupid you've got company LOL...

On the trusts this is where I like the trusts that hedge well just in case. Previously AVN was one of my champions for this but I took a big profit on that one and I think I'll have an opportunity for cheaper. Acclaim (I own a big chunk as it didn't drop as much as I'd hoped in the recent mini blowoff, so I bought back 80% of my previous position) seems to have some pretty good hedging going out into 2004 and only use 65% of cashflow to maintain the dividend. My other larger holding (a new endeavour for me) is Harvest. Low reserve life but payout 24% return on just 50% cashflow. The rest is used to acquire and develop more reserve. Probably not for the faint of heart.

Some more recent thoughts on trusts: Message 19068831

regards
Kastel

EDIT on both gold and energy trusts I'm being patient as I have enough trusts for income but small enough to easily weather a downturn while accumulating more. On metal I have more than enough for insurance now so I can (time and market permitting) pick and choose..
