And, by the way, Justice Thomas disagrees with your assertion about the 4th amendment - fortunately, he is in the minority.

The right to privacy goes back to the original bill of rights. The whole prohibition about quartering troops or indisriminate searches is based on the premise that ones' personal space is private.
