If I try to give my son a gift worth more than $10,000 in private, and the state finds out, I go to jail. Would the majority have a problem with this? If two consenting adults do an illegal drug transaction in private, and the state finds out about it they go to jail. Would the majority have a problem with this? I understand the theory behind the Constitution and dream of a world where it is put into practice. The reality is you get the rights the state lets you keep.
