(Updated at 1240 PST)
GAZA CITY: The leader of the radical Palestinian group Hamas
Thursday told an Egyptian delegation that it remained committed to the truce but now it is responsbility of Israel to prove its commitment with the truce, an Arab channel reported Thursday.

We assured them we are committed to the initiative which we announced (the truce), Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin told reporters after the meeting.

We could pursue a six month truce instead of three months but it depends on circumstances of the region, Hamas leader said. The Egyptian delegation was led by General Mustafa al-Buheeri, with two other members.
