I'm sure there's a lot more hits on those people than on the Justices.

Yet, those 68% who couldn't name one Justice were able to say whether the Court was left, right or center! Which tells us what?....Give people three choices and they can pick one. Ask them to fill in a blank with no choices and they fall flat on their faces.

Not an unknown phenomena. pollsters know that 7/10 people can't name one Justice; they know that the majority doesn't know who the current vice President is; they know that a significant percentage of people think the US and Germany were Allies during WWII....and on. [Is it any wonder that the large majority of members of Congress [another poll] believe that the people are too stupid to understand the issues?]

Pollsters without any integrity use their knowledge of the public to phrase certain questions that rely on ignorance to achieve a perceived end. Any time I see a poll that asks respondent to compare current political figures with historical figures...that's the game they play. They know that a hell of a lot of people don't know the difference between Nero, Churchill, Stalin and Hitler. Put those names on a list with Clinton or Reagan and ask them to pick the worst. Lord knows what you'll end up with.
