I must have missed it.

LOL, You can write that again!

Why do you think it was so important to state that troops couldn't be quartered in houses? Come on, this wasn't about the spare bedroom, it was because the houses are private places where you have your right to privacy.

Why do you think people have the right to be secure in their homes safe from unreasonable searches and seizures? It wasn't to prevent vandalism of personal files, it was because the houses and the papers were privite items that you are entitled to with your right of privacy.

Why can't your private property be taken without commpensation? Duh! because it's protected by your right to privacy.

The right to privacy is at the heart of the Constitution which states that public expediency does not trump your right to privacy.

( Sheesh )

You have the right to the presumption of innocence and the right not to have your property searched unreasonably. That is the most powerful protection of privacy on the planet.

The Texas sodomy law was preposterous because it was impossible to legally enforce - unless you deliberately arranged the circumstances so as to deliberately get arrested so you can bring a test case and change 250 years of legal theory.
