By repetition and rote memorization of fact. Instead, we have a culture of zombies in this nation who get their news from either right wing talk radio or late night comedians. I kid you not. A significant percentage of the population of a "democracy" are so apathetic about their democracy that they simply avoid any legitimate source of public policy information. It is rather pathetic to think that they then arrogantly consider themselves to be patriots and better than the rest of the world. Maddening to try to break through into their petty little worlds.
