Thanks for the article.

Interestingly people will go to Vegas, Alantic City etc. push the little card into the slot machine and play away. Some time later the casino sends them a promo on rooms, points to purchase merchandise or contests, based on info. gleened from that little card that they shoved into the slot machine. The gaming industry has been keeping personal info. on people for years with no real outcry! LOL

Everytime you use your credit card, somewhere that purchase (particularly large ticket items) is filed away in your profile. I recently purchased an expensive diamond ring for my bride for our 30th year together. Within 10 days I recieved some advertizing for several different items from collector watches to BMW cars...never had that kind of attention before. Kinda made my point, but made me feel important anyway. LOL
