Prove what, The military accomplished the mission. The did it well. But it took the military much longer to put in place the force needed for a force that was far less, 1/2 the size of the original Gulf War.

Professionals know War is about logistics. Time is also money. The technology and process ignoramus can only evaluate in simplistic ways. Secretary Rumsfeld and the Joint Chiefs are adults and don't whine when handed a bag of crap. They make the silk purse out of the sowes ear. And the military is filled with good decent people who even with limited resources know how to make it work.

But the success of a carefully planned war with the small numbers used put the world on notice and makes all understand that hosting scum will be deadly.

But why did those in the world ever come to the perception that this was not always the case. President Bush I made it so clear and stupid mr. bill eroded that simple concept.

They don't understand the simple lesson of logistics winning WW II. As the war with Japan ended America manufactured more machine guns of all types in a single day than Japan had manufactured of all types for their entire history.
