Hawkmoon, One of the comments in the link you provided sums up the skeptics case very well: Just a quick question which may have been answered elsewhere: Why is there no TV footage of a plane/missile/whatever approaching the Pentagon? The WTC had already been attacked and an attack on Washington was predicted, why weren't TV crews scouring the skies for the plane? Many shots of the attack have been discovered from several angles but nothing of the Pentagon attack. Strange? humanunderground.com *********** It does seem exceptionally odd and troubling that there is no video of the event, with the exception of the inconclusive CNN surveillance camera video from the parking lot. Considering how high profile this attack was the absence of any news footage or official camera footage from the DoD itself is highly suspicious.

But hitting any part of the building from any direction but the south would have instantly sent out alarms since it would have either required the plane fly over restricted DC airspace, or into the flight path of Reagan National, risking a mid-air collision that would have defeated the purpose of the mission. So the southerly approach was the only one logical for the pilot of the plane. What you describe is a well trained pilot who is very knowledgeable about navigation especally in the DC area. The hijackers were only experienced on small craft and simulators mostly in Florida. The skill level implied in your statements requires some explanation. TP
