KLP, this is a situation where "you are damned if you do and you are damned if you don't". If the intelligence is to be faulted here, then Bush should know better. The 9/11 incident is a big hole in our intelligence. All the other terrorist attacks is a big hole in our intelligence. With this intelligence, how can the Bush/Ashcroft team even think of Patriotic Act II? Can you imagine civilian American lives lost when this intelligence team brings in reports about the activities of civilian American lives which may not be true. WHere are our American values? And since when have we seen our American President blame those who serve him at his pleasure and consent. George Tenet, his buddy, can be fired pronto if Bush wants to do that. He cannot ave the cake and eat it too. Either fire your buddy Tenet or such up and take responsibility for the goof up.
