commodity (& energy) prices rise
finished product prices fall
just like what Puplava outlined 18 months ago
this is evidence of the Perfect Storm picking up speed
the press & media are clueless to its development

by the way, the USDollar correction has not even begun
so far the "hot potato" has been tossed into European hands
May's trade gap is huge and hard to explain by those who claim that dollar adjustment has gone a long way to fix US competitiveness
what an effing joke!

Boosted by higher energy prices, the producer price index rose 0.5 percent in June, slightly more than the 0.3 percent expected. However, after excluding volatile food and energy costs, the core PPI fell 0.1 percent. See full story.

The Commerce Department also reported that the trade deficit in May widened slightly to $48.1 billion. Both imports and exports increased. See full story.

Bond prices have been relatively flat over the week, with little economic or policy news to break the trend.
