This implies that a) the President was an innocent victim, who deserves none of the blame, and b) that he would have carried out this duty had he been able. In the case of a) there is plenty of blame to go around, and in regards to b) none of the rest of Clinton's very ad-hoc foreign policy gives any evidence of this.

This business of taking hostage has got to stop. Such tactics are Hitlerian. Remember Hitler Nadine!

Get a grip, Chinu. If you want to help defeat Bush in 2004, resist the wave of hysteria that seems to be sweeping the Democratic base. Hysteria will only convince the swing voters that they remain safer with Bush et al.
